Their self-titled debut album came out in 1987 and included 'Carrossel,' a song that became widely popular in Brazil and elsewhere. They followed it with albums like 'Sonhos' in 1988 and 'Coração Pirata' in 1989.
Their music often drew from Brazilian rhythms, though they sometimes mixed in pop or rock touches. Besides 'Carrossel,' other songs like 'Manuela' and 'Amigo do Sol, Amigo da Lua' with Benito Di Paula show their range. They kept recording into the late 1990s, putting out a compilation called 'Tico-Tico & Beija-Flor 10 Anos de Sucesso' in 1997.
