Tiganá

Tiganá formed in 2006 with five musicians: Cláudio Damasceno, Fernando Priamo, Joãozinho Gomes, Josué Amazonas, and Tarcísio Gomes. Their music draws from the Amazon region where they're based, and their debut album was called 'Alma Cabocla.'

Their songs often touch on Amazonian themes, with titles like 'Alma Cabocla, Magia, Fascínio e Preservação No Coração da Amazônia' and 'Ayakamaé - As Águas Sagradas do Sol e da Lua' reflecting this focus. They've also recorded tracks such as 'Que Rei Sou Eu?' and 'A Voz Marrom Que Não Deixa o Samba Morrer.'

Some listeners have questioned how they blend traditional Amazonian sounds with more contemporary pop elements. The group has worked with environmental organizations, using their platform to discuss issues like deforestation.
