Tiger Tunes

Tiger Tunes formed in the late 1990s, a group of teenagers from a small Midwestern town who started playing in garages and local bars. Their song "(Angry Kids Of The World) Unite" became something of an anthem for listeners who felt like outsiders, and it gave the band its first real following.

They released several albums in the early 2000s, including "Teenage Dirtbags" in 2001 and "Outcasts and Rebels" in 2003. Their music often dealt with themes of alienation and identity, and tracks like "Charlie" and "Family Picture" carried that same raw, direct quality that connected with their audience.

At times their straightforward lyrics and performances drew criticism from more conservative corners, but they kept playing the way they wanted to play. They never became a mainstream act, but for a certain crowd in those years, Tiger Tunes sounded like a band that understood what it felt like to be on the outside looking in.
