i'm dropping hints and allegations in the dark,

because faith in this is all i have.

and hoping for a phone call,

but this picture in my mind is all i get.

don't make me be the last to know it's wrong,

because i don't like throwing my heart around.

because i am smart enough to know that's never how it is.
