Timmy T, born Timothy Thompson, had one song that stuck around. 'One More Try' came out in 1985 and climbed the charts, a ballad about lost love that people kept listening to long after its moment. He put out a self-titled album the next year with tracks like 'Broken Heart' and 'Lonely Tonight,' but nothing else reached that same level.

He worked mostly as a solo artist, sometimes with a backing band called The Lonely Hearts. The story around him got messy with talk of drug arrests and bar fights, but what's left is that one song and a thin catalog. People still know 'One More Try' when it comes on, and that's enough.
