Tinoco e Zé Paulo

Tinoco e Zé Paulo were brothers from Paraná who started performing at local gatherings when they were young. In 1946, a radio producer named Manuel de Nóbrega heard them and put them on his morning show, which helped them reach a national audience. Their song 'Baile Na Roça' became popular around that time.

They recorded for decades, working in the sertanejo style with songs about rural life. Some of their other well-known tracks include 'Chico Mineiro' and 'Mãe do Céu Morena.' They both sang and played guitar or viola, and they wrote much of their own material.

There were occasional disputes over song rights during their career, but they kept recording. Their music stayed connected to the sounds and stories of the countryside, even as it found listeners in cities too.
