Archive material and source history
Tiny Ruins is an indie folk band from New Zealand built around Hollie Fullbrook's vocals and guitar, with Tom Healy on guitar and Cass Basil on bass. They've put out four albums since 2011, starting with Some Were Meant for Sea and most recently Hurtling Through in 2022.
Their 2019 album Olympic Girls includes the song of the same name, which touches on identity and ambition. Fullbrook writes the material, and her lyrics tend toward the introspective.
In 2016, Fullbrook had foot surgery that caused a tour cancellation. The pandemic later disrupted their concert schedule as well.
