He released other albums like 'Canções de Amor' in 2003 and 'Som do Meu Mundo' in 2008. His music includes romantic ballads, soulful pop, and some experimental fusion. He worked with Brazilian artists Gilberto Gil, Caetano Veloso, and Gal Costa.
His band was called Os Doces Bárbaros. It had guitarists Sérgio Ricardo and Fred Martins, bassist Marcelo Jeneci, drummer Rafael Barata, and keyboardists Guilherme Monteiro and Ricardo Assumpção. Ioli drew from traditional Brazilian rhythms along with international pop and rock.
