Tito Rojas was a salsa singer from Humacao, Puerto Rico. He started singing professionally at 18 with Conjunto Borinquen. His first album came out in 1977, and its title track, 'Ayer Me Dijeron,' became a hit that helped define his early sound.
He kept recording through the 1980s and 1990s, putting out albums like 'Pa'l Pueblo' in 1987 and 'El Gallo Salsero' in 1992. Songs such as 'Nadie Es Eterno' and 'Siempre Seré' stayed in rotation on salsa radio and at parties, known for their straightforward, heartfelt delivery.
Rojas faced some legal trouble in 1988, but he kept working. He released more than twenty albums over his career, including 'Tito Rojas Presenta a Su Orquesta' in 2003. His voice remained a familiar presence in salsa until his death in 2020.
