Tobi Chris

Tobi Chris is a band from Los Angeles that formed in the early 2000s. The group includes Tobi Adeyemo on vocals and guitar, Chris Martin on bass, and John Watson on drums. Their music pulls from soul and indie rock, with Adeyemo's voice and Martin's bass lines often working together over Watson's drumming.

Their song "Gaye" became their most recognizable track, a cover that found an audience with its moody, reflective feel. It appeared on their first album, The Garden of Eden, which came out in the 2000s. They followed it with two more records, The Light Inside and The Dreamers' Guide.

In recent years, the band has dealt with allegations of misconduct against Adeyemo, which affected their public standing. They've kept a lower profile since, though their earlier work, especially "Gaye," still gets played.
