Toby Fox was born in 1991 in Manchester, New Hampshire. He grew up with video games and anime, and the soundtracks from EarthBound and Homestuck stuck with him. In 2013, he released the game Undertale, which came with a soundtrack that people still talk about. The opening track 'Fallen Down' set the tone for what he does.
He works alone, writing and producing everything himself. Beyond Undertale, he's done music for Deltarune, Homestuck Volume 10, and Hiveswap. Songs like 'BIG SHOT' and 'Spamton' from his later work show how his style has kept evolving while staying rooted in those early game music influences.
There was some noise in 2017 about a shortened version of 'Fallen Down,' but it didn't really change how people listen to his music. He just kept making more of it.
