I'm not gonna say what's on my mind

Unless the interest displayed compares

To the effort that it takes

To betray

The confidence between my mind & disconcerted heart

If not, i'd rather not share anything

My most intimate reveries

My most incriminating dreams

And the innocence of ignorance unveiled

Shielded from the light

By clarity of mind

A last frontier

That hitherto evaded being a mistake

Really listen to the hints others convey

We end up almost never saying what

For fear of a reaction, of a judgment

Of admitting to ourselves or anyone

The things that are inside of us are real
