To land his hands on some brand new shoes

Well I bought myself some brand new shoes

So I could jump like a kangaroo

They were fine shoes without a doubt

I was pumpin' them up and I was airin' them out

I got some brand new shoes

South Central Bell turned off my phone

The landlady wants me out of my home

I don't have any money but I'm not blue

I got myself these brand new shoes

Of course I'm gettin evicted

I ain't eaten in three days
