Tonight Is Goodbye formed in the early 2000s with Shane Johnson on vocals and guitar, Joshua Herrod on bass, and Scott West on drums. They put out their debut EP 'Whispers in the Dark' in 2004. Their 2006 album 'Beauty and the Beast' gave them a commercial lift, with the title track getting attention.
Herrod left the band in 2008, and West followed not long after, leaving Johnson as the only original member. They kept going, releasing 'Shadows Fall' in 2012 and touring, but went on hiatus around 2015. Other songs from their catalog include 'Black Dress' and 'Brain'.
