In 1995, he released the album "Estrimilique," which included the title track that became widely known in Brazil. The song "Eu Taco Fogo" also appears among his recorded work. His music drew from sertanejo and forró traditions, sometimes incorporating rock elements.
He performed under the stage name Toninho do Diabo, which translates to Little Tony of the Devil. He collaborated with other Brazilian musicians including Chico Science, Gilberto Gil, and Caetano Veloso.
