That album was named after the song 'Filha (Meu Presente de Deus)', a track about his daughter that became widely popular.
He's from Salvador, Bahia, and his music draws from the regional sounds you'd expect from that area, like samba and MPB. Other songs people know include 'Faz Tanto Tempo' and 'Loucura de Mulher'. He's put out several albums since, like 'Mais Uma Chance' in 2006 and 'Acústico' in 2014.
