Touchandgo

Touch and Go formed in Akron, Ohio in the early 1980s with Terry "TC" Cummings on vocals, Chris Bratton on guitar, Bill Sullivan on bass, and Ted Barnes on drums. They put out their debut album "To Hell With Paradise" on their own label, Touch and Go Records. The band's sound had aggressive guitars and pounding rhythms, with Cummings delivering lyrics that often felt confrontational.

Their music tackled themes like social inequality and personal alienation, which sometimes stirred things up at their shows. They were associated with SST Records, a label known for its punk bands, and that connection added to their reputation as a pretty abrasive group. Songs like "Malaya" and "La Tóxica" carried that raw, visceral energy that connected with a certain audience looking for something uncompromising.
