Trace Cyrus co-founded the pop punk band Metro Station in 2006 with Mason Musso. Their debut single "Shake It" reached the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The band released albums titled "Metro Station" and "Savior" before Musso departed in 2010.
After Metro Station, Cyrus released a solo EP in 2011 and his debut solo album "Trace Cyrus: Inspired by True Events" in 2016. His song "Danielle Please Don't Die" from 2012 drew attention for its personal themes. He also collaborated with his sister Miley Cyrus on the track "Hovering."
Born Neil Timothy Cyrus, he's the son of Billy Ray Cyrus and Tish Cyrus. His early musical experience came from playing guitar and writing songs.
