Tracy

Tracy was a country duo active in the early 1990s, consisting of Tracy Lawrence and Tim McGraw. They released one self-titled studio album in 1993, which included their version of "Always On My Mind." That song became their most recognizable track, though it wasn't originally theirs, it was written by Johnny Christopher, and McGraw faced a lawsuit over songwriting credits that was settled out of court.

Their album had other songs like "Ordinary Love" and "Strong Enough to Bend," but it got mixed reviews from critics despite selling well. The duo didn't last long after that, and they never put out another record together. Tracy Lawrence kept singing with his baritone voice, and Tim McGraw went on to have a much bigger solo career in country music.

"Always On My Mind" stuck around though, getting covered by other artists and used in films and TV shows. It's the one thing most people remember Tracy for, even if the band itself was short-lived.
