Transviolet

Transviolet formed in Los Angeles around 2013, starting as a trio with Sarah McTaggart, Judah Freed, and Jacob Grossman. They put out 'Girls Your Age' in 2015, a synth-pop track that caught on for its direct take on self-acceptance. That song, along with others like 'Pretty Head' and 'New Bohemia,' helped define their early sound, airy vocals over layered electronics.

Their first album came out in 2016, self-titled. By 2019, they'd shifted some with 'Kaleidoscopes,' bringing in more indie rock and electronic dance elements. The lineup changed too; drummer Spencer Zahn left in 2017. They've kept going as a band, putting out songs like 'Easy On Me' and 'Undo' that stick to that moody, melodic pop feel without staying in one lane.
