Trash Palace

Trash Palace formed in Los Angeles in the late 1990s, coming out of the city's underground punk scene. Their early sound was raw and confrontational, which made it hard for them to find a foothold with mainstream audiences or record labels at first. They kept at it, playing live shows and eventually putting out their self-titled debut album in 2001.

Things shifted in 2003 with the release of the song 'Bad Girl.' The track's lyrics sparked a debate, with some critics calling it misogynistic while fans heard it as a feminist anthem. They followed it with an album of the same name that year.

Later records like 'Rebellion' in 2006 showed a more polished side. Their work included collaborations, like 'Je t'aime, Moi Non Plus' featuring Brian Molko and Asia Argento, and 'Mary' with Luna James. Their catalog also includes songs such as 'Insatiable' and 'Maculée Conception.'
