Archive material and source history
Treixadura is a Galician musical collective that formed in 2004. They work with traditional Galician folklore and contemporary sounds, a mix that drew some early resistance from parts of the local scene. The group's founding members included vocalist and songwriter María Faltri, guitarist and producer Josu Montoro, bassist Antonio Fernández, and percussionist Carlos Delgado.
Their song "Fisterra," an ode to the Spanish cape, became a notable piece for them. It appears on their 2013 album of the same name, which was part of a series of releases that began with their debut "Na Brétema" in 2004 and continued through albums like "Terra" in 2007 and "Silente" in 2010.
