Trinca de Áries formed in 1989 with Paulo Ricardo, Marcelo Fromer, and Flávio Venturini. Their self-titled debut came out in 1991, mixing rock, pop, and MPB. The following year, their second album 'A Última Sessão de Música' brought them wider attention, featuring the song 'Pode Ser' that got regular radio play.
In 1994 they released 'Natália,' which included 'Teste Pra Vida,' a song about HIV/AIDS that stirred some public debate at the time.
They went on indefinite hiatus in 1996, with the members working on solo projects. The trio reunited for concerts in 2018.
