Tritt Travis

Travis Tritt was born in Marietta, Georgia in 1963. He started playing in local clubs after high school, working his way up through the Georgia circuit before getting a record deal.

His debut album 'Country Club' came out in 1989 and did well, but it was songs like 'Here's A Quarter (Call Someone Who Cares)' and 'Anymore' that really connected with people. He had a straightforward country sound that didn't shy away from electric guitars, and his voice had enough grit to sell both the tough-guy anthems and the more vulnerable material.

Over the next few years he put out albums like 'T-R-O-U-B-L-E' and 'Ten Feet Tall and Bulletproof'. He was never shy about his opinions, which sometimes put him at odds with parts of the industry, but his fans appreciated that directness. The music kept coming, with songs that worked just as well in a bar as they did on the radio.
