Their self-titled debut album arrived in 1976, followed by records like 'Rock 'n' Roll Machine' in 1977 and 'Just a Game' in 1979. They built a reputation for loud, melodic rock and energetic live shows.
By the early 1980s, the band was experimenting with more progressive rock textures on albums such as 'Allied Forces' from 1981. That record included the single 'Hold On.' In 1984, they released 'Thunder Seven,' which featured the power ballad 'At Least It Felt Like a Promise.' The song became one of their most recognizable tracks.
