Zankou (translation)

Memory inside of a memory;

A dry road with nothing but scars;

A past filled with only fighting

Burns into monochrome.

How many times has it surfaced and disappeared;

I want to shake off that heavy dream.

And so, always-

Cutting through the burning darkness,

Living by a decision I can't change,

In order to reach one single star

Every wish, every prayer, I cast away.

An eternity of solitude inside solitude,

Swinging at an invisible enemy in front of me,

As if they were frozen

These arms had no effect.

No matter the pain, or if everything falls apart,

I've decided what I'll do and won't look back,

And so, always-

Charging through the flaming wind,

Forgetting the unanswered question,

In order to walk along one single path

My clenched fists will become this sword.

In this endless circle of looking backwards,

My vow to use this unshakable power to protect

There are no worlds I cannot cross.

All these were precious to me.

Drawing warmth from the daylight moon,

I feel like sleeping.

If someday I wake from this dream,

Will everything disappear?

But my heart will surely still

Search for these precious feelings.

Even if they crossed a thousand skies,

I could never forget those words.
