Their 1973 debut album included "Ana, João e Paulo," which became a national sensation. Other songs like "Amigos de Beijar" and "Procura-se" also found audiences during this period.
They released several more albums through the 1970s and 1980s, each simply numbered Tubaranda II through VI. The lineup shifted over time, though Brown and Dadi remained constant. Their music incorporated samba, funk, pop, and reggae elements while exploring themes of relationships and social issues.
