Tubelord formed in 2012 around guitarist and vocalist Sean Lennon, who is John Lennon's son. They've worked with drummer Luke Pendergast, bassist Paul Frazier, and keyboardist Aaron Neveu at different points, and recorded with producers Tony Visconti and Chris Coady.
Their debut album 'I Am Azerrad' came out in 2014, followed by 'Our First American Summer' in 2016 and 'Sunlit Youth' in 2018. Songs like 'I Am Azerrad' and 'Stacey's Left Arm' show their mix of shoegaze and psych-rock elements.
Lennon's family background has sometimes drawn attention away from the music itself. The band has kept a fairly low profile in New York's music circles while putting out those three records.
