Tublues formed in Porto Alegre, Brazil in 1994 around Marco Di Martino on vocals and harmonica, Fernando Noronha on guitar, and Cleber Alves on drums. Their debut album 'Ambição Ardente' came out in 1997, with the title track becoming a staple of their early sound. The record helped them build an audience through touring.
Lineup changes followed as Noronha and Alves left, leaving Di Martino as the only original member. He brought in new musicians like guitarist Alexandre Birck and bassist Felipe Machado to keep the band going. Their second album 'Rua do Futuro' arrived in 1999, showing some evolution from their blues-rock beginnings.
Songs like 'Como um cão de rua' and 'Paixão Proibida' represent the kind of material they became known for.
