The band's sound mixed rock with Brazilian rhythms like samba, and their lyrics often touched on social issues. They played at charity events and political rallies, and 'Não Se Deixe Seduzir' was sometimes heard at protests against police violence.
Léo Jaime was the only member who stayed through various lineup changes. The original group included Pierre Bautzer on bass, Renato Piau on guitar, Ronaldo Pereira on drums, and Jorge Ben Jor on percussion. They put out seven studio albums, with 'Tuboy' following in 1996 and a live recording after that.
