Tunde formed in the early 2000s around songwriter and producer Phillip Leigh, with Ben Campbell on guitar and Karl Davis on bass. Their debut album "The Ghost of Romance" came out in 2005, followed by "Beneath the Covers" in 2008 and "Songbirds" in 2012.
Their song "Great Romantic" became their most recognizable track. In 2010, another band called The Whispers accused Tunde of plagiarizing that song's chorus, leading to a legal battle that ended with Tunde being cleared of the charges.
Other songs like "Anaesthetic," "Cover Me," and "I Can't Make The World Disappear" continued in a similar vein of romantic balladry, with Leigh's vocals and writing at the center of their sound.
