Turley Richards

Turley Richards came together in Austin during the early 1990s, built around vocalist and guitarist Chris Turley and drummer Chris Richards. Bassist John Brown completed that initial trio. Their debut album, 'All Over the World,' arrived in 1995, with the title track becoming a significant hit.

That album was followed by 'Burning Bridges' in 1997 and 'Chasing the Sun' in 1999. Their recorded work also includes songs like 'Baby, Please Don't Go' and 'Child Of Mine.' The lineup shifted over time, with Brown departing in 2002 and keyboardist Sarah Jones joining in 2004.

Chris Turley's outspoken political views occasionally drew attention beyond the music. The band's sound incorporated electronic elements at points, which met with varied reactions. They continued to release albums into the 2010s, including 'Redemption' in 2014.
