TVXQ started as a five-member group in 2003 under SM Entertainment, with U-Know Yunho, Changmin, Jaejoong, Yoochun, and Junsu. Their debut single "Hug" found success in both South Korea and Japan. In 2009, Jaejoong, Yoochun, and Junsu filed a lawsuit against their label over contract disputes, which led to them leaving the group in 2010 to form JYJ.

Yunho and Changmin continued as a duo under the TVXQ name, rebuilding their presence with songs like "Choosey Lover" and "Afterglow." They've released material across genres, from K-pop to rock, including tracks such as "Are You a Good Girl?" and "9095." The group has won multiple awards, including several Golden Disc Daesang awards.

Today, TVXQ is recognized as an influential act in K-pop, known for their performances and ability to adapt through lineup changes.
