TwentyForSeven formed in Aarhus, Denmark in 2011, originally with singer Alexander Oscar, guitarist Mikael Krogh, bassist Jeppe Brix, and drummer Tobias Staugaard. When Oscar left in 2013, they brought in Alexander Møller as their new vocalist.
Their debut single 'All I Ever Wanted' came out in 2014 and got them a spot at the Roskilde Festival. They followed with a self-titled album in 2015, then 'We Are Not Strangers' in 2017 and 'Your Choice Your Way' in 2020. Other songs in their catalog include 'Backseat Getaway' and 'Drunk On You'.
In 2018, there were accusations that they had plagiarized a song by the British band The Vamps.
