Dying Breath

Seems like this road

goes on forever

It's been a lifetime,

that I've been gone

My hair has turned

to grey from brown

That rainbows end

I never found

Yes its true I chased the stars

And I drifted, oh so far...

Far from my friends

and my loved ones

My life now in the setting sun

And as I draw my dying breath

I can see my mother's face

Her tears they fall like rain

For a man who fell from grace

Now all that's left is the cornerstone

Of the place I once called home

Mother, and father lying

in their graves

Their son's return

was far too late
