Uéliton Souza formed the band Uéliton in Salvador, Bahia, drawing from the city's street culture where he first played music. Their debut album was called 'Acorda, Nação.'
Their song 'Naquele Tempo' drew some criticism in 2015, with Souza saying it reflected certain realities in Brazil. The band's lineup included Souza on vocals and guitar, Felipe Frazão on bass, and Bruno Oliveira on drums.
They worked with musicians like Gilberto Gil and Carlinhos Brown. Their later albums included 'Nosso Som' and 'Nação do Amor.'
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
