Ueyck came together in Rio de Janeiro in the late 2000s, with Ueyckleide Costa as the vocalist. Their early sound mixed pop, samba, and funk, and they had a hit with the song "Sem pensar." The band's debut album was also called "Sem pensar."
In 2011, Ueyck got caught up in a legal fight over song rights, with accusations of plagiarism and copyright issues. That situation hurt their reputation for a while, but they kept working. They put out more albums like "O Amor é Cor" and "Para Que?" which dealt with love and loss.
The group included Ronaldo Gomes on guitar, Thiago Arrais on keyboards, Fábio Brasil on bass, and Felipe Rodrigues on drums. They've worked with other Brazilian artists such as Ivete Sangalo, Carlinhos Brown, and Seu Jorge.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
