Editor's note

Ulises Bueno, the Argentine singer from Córdoba

A cuarteto singer whose songs like "Borracho Y Vagabundo" and "Intento" connected with audiences before his death in 2020.

For a quick sense of his style, try "Mi Gran Amor Prohibido" or the earlier "Borracho Y Vagabundo." They're both pretty direct, no frills.

He wrote "Intento" in 2013, a song that became widely known across Argentina. Tracks like "Borracho Y Vagabundo" and "Dejame Mañana" show his straightforward approach to cuarteto music. His band included Javier Cerrizuela on guitar and Mariano Díaz on keyboard, giving his sound a consistent live feel.

He started singing publicly at 13 in Córdoba, where his father played bandoneon. His first album "Soy Como Soy" came out in 2005, followed by others like "No Me Ames." After a serious car accident in 2015, he took time away from performing before dying in another accident in 2020.
