The Edge

I'd like to think that every verse i write

exorcises a demon from my dark withins

That a handful of confusion

can be erased from Babylon

with each drop of black ink

but i know fate doesn't work like that

And if only you could feed the crows

with memories

and rip away those parts of being you don't like

as pages from a book

Just when i thought i couldn't sink any further

the moment i thought i was back from the edge

That the storm had passed

Just when i thought that pain could not go deeper

I stared into the rain

Slowly going mad

I wake up to see my grave

Getting closer everyday

And i rise, and my eyes

Cannot seem to find the way

Just like the leprous conceals his hideous sores

to avoid being stoned to death

I'm sick of this life

i'm tired of living
