UmQuarto formed in São Paulo in the late 1990s with founding members Rafa Ramos on vocals, Bruno Berle on guitar, and Thiago Vianna on drums. Their debut album 'Discussões com Deus' came out in 2002, with the title track becoming an early signature song that questioned faith and spirituality in raw, direct terms.
They've released several albums since then, including 'Até o Fim,' 'A Infinita Nuvem,' and 'Dia dos Mortos.' Their music often explores philosophical and social themes, which has sometimes drawn criticism from religious groups. The current lineup includes bassist Dani Avila alongside the original three members.
Songs like 'Por Um Fio,' 'Sem Desprezo,' and 'O Mar de Madalena' show their range from intense rock to more atmospheric material.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
