Undefined came together in Kingston, Jamaica, as a loose group of musicians looking for a way to play. They eventually settled into a lineup with Jahreel "Jah" Sutherland on vocals, Damian "Junior" Clarke on guitar, Erin "Ezzy" Mitchell on bass, and David "Drums" Johnson on drums.
Their early years were lean, with rehearsals in cramped spaces and shows that didn't pay much. Some critics found their sound too rough around the edges, but the band kept at it. They recorded a song called "New Jamaica."
That's about as much as we can say with any certainty. The rest of the story tends to get filled in with promotional language or dramatic claims that don't hold up to plain telling.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
