Under Attack formed in the late 1990s with Wayne Isham on vocals, Ryan Smith on guitar, Danny Hayes on bass, and Chris Richards on drums. They built a cult following with a raw, guitar-heavy sound that didn't fit neatly into categories. Their early years were lean, with equipment problems and financial strain, but they kept playing live shows and gradually found their audience.
In 2002, they released the single 'A coroner's faith through cupid's arrow,' which got some attention for its dark themes. They put out three albums, starting with 2004's 'The Descent,' followed by 'Reborn' and 'Atonement.' Songs like 'Final Expression' and 'Curtain' carried the same intense, brooding quality that defined their work.
The band broke up in 2010. Their music occasionally turned up in films and TV shows after that, but they never reformed.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
