Undressd formed in Los Angeles in 1988 with Kelly Richards on vocals, Jeff Cole on guitar, Alan Melina on bass, and Rick Schultz on drums. Their debut album 'Forever Young' came out that same year, anchored by the title track that became their most recognizable song.
That first album established their sound, which mixed pop melodies with rock instrumentation and some alternative touches. They followed it with three more studio albums over the next dozen years: 'Undressing' in 1991, 'Time' in 1994, and 'Now' in 2000.
Richards' lyrics often dealt with personal reflection and social themes, which sometimes drew attention beyond just the music. The band's work from that period still finds listeners who connect with those songs.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
