Uneverso came together in Salvador, Bahia in the early 2000s. Their sound pulled from Brazilian rhythms and progressive rock, which gave them a particular texture that stood out. The song 'Guerra Nas Estrelas' came out in 2005 and became their breakthrough, its melody and lyrics about cosmic themes finding a wide audience in Brazil.
They followed that with albums like 'A Era Espacial' in 2007 and 'O Deserto do Real' in 2010. Another track, 'Tudo Vai Ficar Certo,' also became one of their notable songs. Their music sometimes appeared in film and television soundtracks, which helped spread their work beyond the usual channels.
Uneverso's approach drew mixed reactions, some found it too theatrical, while others appreciated that it didn't sound like everything else. They kept making music on their own terms, putting out 'Infinito' in 2014 without much fuss about changing direction.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
