Unfold formed in Santa Rita do Passa Quatro, a town in São Paulo state. The original lineup included Tiago Lafratta on vocals and guitar, Gabriel Martinez on bass, and Ricardo Benevides on drums. They put out a debut EP called 'Origins' in 2015, followed by a full-length album, 'Por Um Fio,' two years later.
Their 2019 album 'Tarde de Outono' gave the band a wider audience. The song 'Tarde de Outono' is one of their best-known tracks. Their music draws from folk and rock, with Brazilian rhythms woven in.
In 2020, Unfold faced some criticism for their stance on social justice issues. That didn't slow them down much, they kept playing and writing.
