Unit One formed in Madrid in the late 1970s with Jesús de la Rosa on vocals and guitar, Luis Fernández on bass, Carlos Martos on drums, Antonio Molero on vocals and percussion, and Enrique Jiménez on keyboards. Their debut album 'Fibra Moral' came out in 1984, followed by records like 'Atómica' in 1986 and 'Motor' in 1989.
Their music mixed rock and punk with flamenco elements, and lyrics that addressed social issues sometimes drew criticism from conservative quarters in Spain. The title track 'Fibra moral' became particularly well-known among Spanish youth at the time.
They kept recording through the early 1990s with albums like 'Animales en el Circo' and 'Héroes de Patrio'. Other songs people remember include 'In my eyes (cover)' and 'Teu Sorriso'.
