Universo Relativo formed in São Paulo around 2015 with Fabio Serra on vocals and guitar, Guilherme Lima on bass, and Felipe Dias on drums. They put out a debut EP called 'Primeira Jornada' in 2017, but it was their 2019 album 'Resiliência' that got them noticed. The title track from that album, along with songs like 'Garrafa De Vidro' and 'Despertar,' connected with listeners in Brazil.
Their music pulls from a mix of pop, rock, and MPB, with nods to artists like Milton Nascimento and Chico Buarque. The lyrics often touch on social themes, which has led to some public discussion about their work. They followed up with another album called 'Horizonte' in 2022.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
