I'm still stressin but all in all I maintain

My daughter she's now five and man is she a jewel

She's just about to be starting her first year of school

But the fact is the musical genes been passed down through my family so how can they be mad at me

A lotta people must think jess is depressed and my life's gotta be one heck of a mess but the truth is

Man I'm blessed with family and friends and a woman that I love to death

And even though I had a child by another girl

I used to only pray when I was troubled or when I needed help or when I was hurt or when I struggled but nowadays

I count the ways that I'm blessed being able to walk to being able to take a breath

You see the changes and the strangers and people you went to school with

There's insane people that you used to be cool with

But last time you seen them they were caught up in some bullshit for not being the parents that their children need

And once promising athletes who smoked too much weed and some others who didn't even know they had another seed
