The lineup settled with Scott Buchanan on rhythm guitar and Nick Miller on bass, and they kept at it through the usual grind of a new metal band.

Things picked up with the 2015 album 'Time Stands Still,' which gave them a clearer footing. But it was 2017's 'Apex' that really connected, an album built around big melodies and Hayes' vocal range. Songs like 'The Wind That Shapes the Land' and 'False Walls' showed their mix of power metal force and more melodic, almost folk-tinged passages. They started getting on tours with bigger acts like Sabaton and Nightwish.
