A Berlin band that's been mixing industrial metal with techno since the mid-90s.
For their signature mix, try 'Stray.' For their unflinching tone, 'This is Your End' says it all.
Unter Null's sound has always been a specific kind of Berlin hybrid, industrial metal welded to techno elements, which they nailed right out of the gate on their 1995 debut 'Blut.' Songs like 'Stray' and 'This is Your End' show they've stuck with dark, confrontational themes for decades. Their 2022 album 'Only Death Is Real' proves they haven't softened a thing.
They formed in Berlin in 1994 with vocalist Michael Grewe. From the debut 'Blut' in 1995 through records like 'Sick Fuck' in 1997 and 'Gravity' in 2004, they've kept working along similar lines.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
